May 08 2013Proba-V launched with success
Proba-V has been launched successfully from Europe’s Spaceport in French Guiana on 6 May at 23:06 local time. The Vega launcher has flawlessly delivered Proba-V into its planned Sun-synchronous circular orbit at 820 km altitude and an inclination of 98.73°. ImagineS is going to use Proba-V data to derive geophysical variables to monitor the vegetation growth over the globe at 300m resolution with the objective to start a pre-operational production in the Copernicus Global Land Service by Spring 2014 over Europe.
